2010 DE MARTINO QUEBRADA SECA

Limari Valley – Chile.

Yellow in colour with greenish hues. Fresh and elegant nose with medium intensity. It has fruity aromas when it is young, and expect mineral notes when the wine is old. The palate is fresh with good acidity, also displaying mineral notes with a saline touch. Good volume, creamy and persistent nish.   $61

Organic – Rapel Valley – Chile.
Deep ruby-red in color, with intense aromas of black plum and blackberries, elegantly combined with mild notes of white pepper. Medium-bodied on the palate with silky ripe tannins and a long, broad finish. An elegant wine that is easy to drink.   $28.5/$10

2010 PEREZ CRUZ LIMITED EDITION
malbec
Maipo Valley – Chile.
Bit pinched and gritty up front, with leather, rubber and raspberry aromas in the backdrop. A full, chunky palate offers mildly herbal, baked berry flavors in front of a spicy, minty, mildly hot finish. This is nice for Chilean Malbec but a little aggressive.   $52

2013 SANTA RITA PEHUEN

Maipo Valley – Chile.
A dense nose with prune, mint and green-herb aromas is soft, round and loses spunk as it breathes. A wide chunky palate is full but inexact, while this tastes oaky and savory, with spice, berry and tobacco flavors. Heat and chewy tannins propel the finish on this Apalta Carmenère.   $131.5

Deep red with some tinges of purple. On the nose, green bell peppers, black cherry, blackberry, redcurrant and plum. A few smoky and spicy flavors. On the palate lots of fruit, a fine, ripe but noticeable tannin structure, full body and a pleasant density and acidity. Persistent fruity finish with smoky and
earthy nuances.

Intensely red with violet hues and great depth. The aroma is dominated by a combination of red and black fruit governed by raspberry and notes of pepper with the characteristic flavours from wood such as vanilla and chocolate. Leyda Valley – Chile.
Expressive, cold climate style of Syrah, with lots of spiciness, black pepper, floral notes (violets) and red acid fruit such as raspberries and bluberries. In mouth, it is fruit concentrated, with nice acidity that enlarges the palate, juicy and fresh, with soft tobacco, mocha notes and minerality showing the maritime influence.

This cold weather Syrah is expressive and spicy, with white pepper, floral notes like violets and fruits like raspberries and blueberries. In the mouth, it has a great fruity concentration with vibrant acidity that lengthens the palate, juicy and fresh, with subtle notes of tobacco and mocca, all conjugated with a great minerality showing in this way the marine influence.

Cabernet Sauvignon was the envy of everyone at the gym. Trim, tight tannins and deep, dark fleshed fruit meant this grape could effortlessly move to the music and the trainer’s every demand. Invigorated with dynamic characters of blackcurrant, plums, damson and mint, Pinot Noir and pal Syrah could only jealously glare; they simply couldn’t compete with Cab’s limitless fitness and grace.

2009 ERRAZURIZ DON MAXIMIANO FOUNDER´S

Aconcagua Valley – Chile.
A pretty red color with ruby-red highlights. Expressive on the nose, with a broad range of aromas that denote tremendous complexity, featuring red fruit such as cherry, cassis, and raspberry, subtler notes of red currant, tobacco, and hazelnuts, and some balsamic tones. Voluptuous on the palate, this wine features extremely fine, firm, and sweet tannins along with bitter chocolate, cherries, and sweet spice flavours. Its outstanding acidity gives the wine a youthful, refreshing feeling, which presages an excellent cellaring potential.   $215

Velvety on the palate, this wine starts out friendly but firm, with fine tannins and flavours that reiterate the wine’s aromatic profile of dominant fresh red and black fruit accompanied by hazelnuts and sweet spices.
